How to Undo in Notes on iPhone?
How to Undo in Notes on iPhone and iPad 2024 But, it is not easy to figure out how to reverse anything that you have entered in the Notes app that was produced by Apple and is the default tool for taking notes that are incorporated into iPhones and iPads.
If you erase too much or mistakenly rewrite a portion of text, this might become problematic for you. It is to our good fortune that we have several options to select from.
The most straightforward way to erase changes made in Notes on an iPhone:
- When you open the Notes app on your iPhone and activate the on-screen keyboard, you will see a light gray bar at the very top of the keyboard that contains several icons.
- This bar is where you will find the majority of the keyboard’s symbols.
- When you select the icon that looks like a pen tip inside of a circle, you’ll be presented with options to undo or redo the most recent action.
The iPad feature that makes undoing things in Notes the simplest option:
- As compared to iOS, the functionality of iPadOS’s undo and redo buttons is superior to that of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS. iPadOS is the software that runs on Apple’s iPad.
- The undo and redo icons are buried away in the upper left corner of the keyboard that displays on the screen of the tablet when you are typing on it.
- You can undo actions by hitting Cmd + Z and redo actions by pressing Shift + Cmd + Z on an Apple computer; however, if you are using an external keyboard, you may perform these same actions by pressing Cmd + Z and Shift + Cmd + Z.
With iOS and iPadOS, you may undo it by shaking the device and swiping:
- You may tell Siri that you are using your whole hand and not just one finger by shaking your iPhone or iPad three times.
- Siri will then detect that you are not using just one finger. This will cause a dialogue window to appear, which will ask you whether you want to undo what you’ve entered and provide you with the option to do so.
- Simply give it an additional three shakes to bring up the option to retype what you have just done.
- You have the option to turn on or turn off this feature by going to Settings > Accessibility > Touch and then selecting the toggle switch that is situated next to Shake to Undo.
- Alternatively, you can navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Touch directly.
- If you want to find a happy medium between using your full hand and just one finger to navigate the screen of your mobile device, try swiping across the display with three fingers instead.
- This is an effective method. Simply move your fingers fast to the left to undo an action, and move your fingers quickly to the right to redo an action.
- This motion will work in any section of the screen, but it is best to maintain your concentration on the top of the note because if you sweep your fingers across the keyboard, you may accidentally hit some keys.
- Hence, it is best to keep your attention on the top of the note.
